Google Terraform Modules#

The MyOps GCP IAC library builds upon and integrates public, versioned, and pre-tested Google-owned CFT and Fabric Terraform community modules.

The library allows for the usage of existing Google, and community verified modules, adhering to DRY coding principles, while extending and collecting the functionality of multiple modules. This achieves Google Cloud Blueprints and best practices, based on various real-world use cases, ranging from simple setups to complex architectures, which are ready to deploy.

Motivation#

Deploying Google Cloud Fabric modules can be complicated due to various assumptions about the prerequisites, and the intricate YAML and JSON files involved, often making the bootstrapping process complex. Various examples with limited context can also be daunting to navigate and understand.

With the MyOps organization module (which is part of the GCP IaC Library), integrated with Terragrunt, organization setup is swift and takes minutes, with clear, step-by-step instructions. This allows rapid bootstrapping for new cloud environments, or migrating existing setups into consistent, and conformant environments, ensuring a smooth transition and consistent infrastructure across all environments.
